Forum with ASEAN Committee of Permanent Representatives and civil society

ASEAN member states appointed their permanent representatives to the organisation’s secretariat in Jakarta last year as part of a renewed drive to speed up regional integration. Largely modeled on Coreper, the EU committee of member state representatives, the CPR, also based in Jakarta, meets regularly to discuss common concerns and challenges, not least the functioning of the ASEAN Secretariat, and has also emerged as a key interlocutor for ASEAN’s dialogue partners, including the EU.
