The civil societies of Asia and Europe have had a continued historical exchange of culture, which was often quite problematic and hierarchical. Recently, Asia and asian culture is gaining in influence in Europe, which gives room to a dialogue of equals. Connecting Civil Societies aims to take stock and analyse some of the current trends and issues that define the Asia-Europe dialogue to date, identify the most constructive areas for civil society cooperation.
