The roundtable on ‘Science and nature in Asia and Europe: scientific traditions and new technologies’ aims to investigate the causes and consequences of the growing public skepticism about science as a ‘force for good’, and to identify ways to address these societal concerns and regain public support for science and technology. By bringing together Asian and European scholars from different academic backgrounds, the roundtable intends to highlight different perspectives on the ‘public mistrust in science problem.’
